Sousaphone

The two important benefits of music in an individual are the following:

1. Helps in reducing levels of stress
2. Helps in improving the function of the body's immune system

There are studies stating that playing music and even listening to music can keep one away from disease because his/her body is producing more antibodies capable of fighting germs and bacteria.

If you wonder how does it helps one to be relieved from stress? Again, playing and listening to music helps in lowering the level of stress hormone called cortisol.

This is very true to me. Whenever I can feel headache is coming, I’ll just turn on my favorite Kenny G album and after a while, I feel more relax and re-charge.

I guess, whether we are listening to a classical album music or playing instruments like saxophone, piano or cheap sousaphone , the vital thing is that we enjoy every note. In that way, we can easily benefit from it.

How to Fight Child Obesity?

It's alarming to see overweight children. There are various things contributing to child obesity and there's a lot to do as well to fight it.

As adults responsible in looking after the little one, we should start on watching what we give them. Don't get use on giving big portions to children. Sometimes we forget that they don't need much food as we did.

It's important to be careful on what foods we put on our shopping cart and foods that we stack in our cupboards. Sugary and fatty foods are few of those we should avoid. Make it a habit to give nutritious foods to children such as fruits and vegetables.

Pushing kids to consume everything on their plates is not a good idea especially when they already had enough. It is vital as well to encourage them to drink plenty of water. Water and milk are said to be the ideal beverages for children, not fruit juices and fizzy drinks.

Every country have their own daily nutritional guide pyramid. In Philippines, the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of Department of Science and Technology is responsible in setting this standard. The following images are from them.

Quality, Style, and Price Are Part of Buying Boards

When it comes to skateboarding, you want four things: safety, style, quality, and an affordable price. If you can get all of these, you will be happy to spend your money at any of the skate shops in Atlanta. The problem is that oftentimes, these things are considered independent from each other, and thus where one or two exist, the others are forgotten. However, some accentuate each other.

Safety and Quality

Oftentimes, safety and quality go hand-in-hand. The board isn’t going to snap in half. The wheels aren’t going to come off. Both things could be unsafe but with quality, they shouldn’t even be a possibility. Unfortunately, quality comes with a price that may seem unaffordable. If you know that you will be using the same board for a long time, the price should be worth it if you amortize it over time. The hard part is that you have to pay for it all at once.

Style

The law of supply and demand dictates that those things that are in higher demand will cost more, especially if there isn’t enough of them in the marketplace. That means that the most stylish of products will be the most expensive. Quality and safety are also not necessarily a part of the style package. There are many items that are safe and not stylish, and the opposite is true—there are many items that are stylish and not safe. The important thing is to not allow style to overwhelm the rational thought process. It can be a part of the consideration, but it should not be the entire reason.

Friendly Neighborhood Shop

Skate shops in Atlanta will do their best to make sure that you get the right products at the right price. Fortunately, many of those who work in skate shops are people who use the equipment as well. That gives the experience they need to make sure that they understand what they are selling, and what the benefits and and flaws of the item in question are. Whether you are looking for a board or the equipment to go with it, you want to know what is most important to you.
