Essential Oils Are Back in the Aftershave Game

Does anyone actually enjoy the aroma of a strong cologne or perfume? Could these scents be offensive to people because they are unnatural scents that do not come from nature? Face it; some scents just make you nauseous. You don’t want to be rude, but you just can’t stand the smell of some perfumes and colognes. When you smell something, you are actually inhaling tiny particles of the scent. Taking in too many unnatural particles can wreak havoc on your body. If you want to completely rid your life of artificial scents, then this article is for you. Essential oils have been used for a multitude of purposes since the days of Egyptian society. They saw a major decline in popularity due mainly to large corporations. Big business flooded the market with artificially scented colognes, perfumes, soaps, and deodorants. This left many people growing up with no knowledge of essential oils. Luckily, there are companies out there that are utilizing these traditional scents.

Sandalwood Oil Smells Great and Helps Soothe Irritated Skin

Sandalwood is one of the oils that you will find within the large selection of aftershave lotions available from a company called “The Art of Shaving”. Why would this successful company decide to use sandalwood essential oil instead of the more commonly used artificial scents? Sandalwood has antibacterial properties. This is great news for sensitive skin that has just suffered the rigors of shaving. Also, sandalwood has anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe the skin. Traditionally, sandalwood has also been used as an aphrodisiac.

Lavender Oil for Healing and Rejuvenation

Lavender is another of the essential oils available from the wide selection at “The Art of Shaving”. Lavender can be used to calm the irritation that is sometimes caused by mistakes made while shaving. It will help reduce the pain from razor burn while helping it heal faster. Lavender oil can also be great for the treatment of nicks and cuts made while shaving. Shaving can also cause the skin to be very dry. Luckily, lavender oil can help keep skin moisturized and healthy. If you haven’t tried out an all-natural aftershave cream infused with some essential oils, you are definitely missing out on great benefits and smells!

  1. Ngayon ko lang nalaman ang about sa sandalwood. Ang ibang products ba, walang ingredients (or whatever they call it) na anti-bacterial?
