Every person has its own case. So it's always right to have your eyes check before wearing any glasses.  The glass of you sister is definitely not for you. Don't worry about the professional fee. Besides, it's your health so don't be scared of pulling some money from your pocket for your check-up. If you'll get lucky, you can find some eye clinic that offers free check-up as long as you buy some prescription glasses from them.

You also have the option of having your eye checked there and buy your glasses elsewhere. The best prescription eye glasses can also be bought online at a very affordable price. All you need to do is ask your Optometrist for prescription stipulating your PD or Pupillary Distance. So when you decided to buy online you just need to state your PD, choose your frame and before you know it, your order is already at your door steps.

It is important to have your eyes checked every two years. If you haven't visited the clinic yet, set an appointment as soon as you can.

  2. I am near sighted and I am using contact lenses ever since. But I wouldn't mind getting a pair of eye glasses for emergency.

  5. i agree, some headaches are due to vision problems, if i won't wear my glasses reading something, i usually end up getting headaches, so I wear my eyeglasses most of the time as necklace, that my friends tease me as looking old. :(

  7. Although I've been night blind since I was a kid, thank God that even at 36, I still have 20/20 vision. :)

  8. I am glad I am still not to that point of needing one. Since I have been here in the US, I have not gone to an eye doctor even if it is covered with our insurance. Hopefully, I do not jinx myself.

  10. Thank goodness sis that even at my age (past 40!), my eyesight is still 20/20 and I want it to stay that way. My daughter, however, has been wearing prescriptive glasses since she was 10.

  11. I really wish that I would never ever need to wear an eyeglass. But the styles of the eyeglasses nowadays makes me want to buy them just for the kicks! :))
