All temporary skin-staining products, commonly known as henna dye products, need Philippine FDA approval as cosmetic products before they are marketed or used in the country.
Therefore, consumers are advised to ask any person or company for FDA market authorization or cosmetic notification before getting temporary tattoo.

I'm not a fan of this art so I think I'm safe, but I understand others why they love putting on marks on their body, it's the only thing they can do to a given. Now that this thing came out, I hope this will serve as a caution that looming danger is there.

I am not into tattoos and certainly don't get the fascination to it. I do understand that some people expresses their creativity through tattoos though.
ReplyDeletehey... this is a good-to-know article. I didn't know that henna dye needed FDA approval. I hate needles, therefore scared of the real tattoo. And I always get tempted to get a henna tattoo when i'm out in a beach resort. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI've also read once from a blogger's post where he contacted allergies from a henna dye he got at Boracay. Since then, I was scared to even try henna. This FDA warning is very informative, we should disseminate this information for our fellow kababayans.
