Graduating from College of Pharmacy doesn't mean we will stop
learning. Our experiences every day in our chosen field of practice are the
best way to keep our profession. There are also plenty of good books to read. Books
that we can use to review what we've learned back then and books in which we
can learn new things. There is certainly no end to education.
Registration Review Books like Comprehensive Review By Shargel,
Mutnick, Souney and Swanson and Tomorrow’s Pharmacist: Registration Exam
Questions by Bukhari are excellent means of refreshing our memories of pharmacy
matters. Even if you’re not going to take any foreign or local registration
examination, they are still worth looking at. You can also sell textbooks after
you read them. This way you’re not only acquiring money but you’re also giving
other the opportunity to learn what you gained.
As Confucius once said “You cannot
open a book without learning something”. So don’t
stop flipping those pages, we have a lot to absorb.
How about you, what is your favorite pharmacy book?
I could never be a pharmacist sis, ang hirap kaya ng names ng ibang meds lol..
ReplyDeletei do believe that by reading textbooks it keeps us in track to the fields of specialization.. that is why they were there to keep our learning alive
ReplyDeletei agree, there is just so much to learn, the pages may be pages of an actual book or pages in the browser of learning.
ReplyDeleteMy fave pharmacy book. 'How to stay away from AIDS'..LOL just kidding. I am more on engineering books, yan kasi natapos ko.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more on what you said about us not stopping from learning regardless of us already being done with school.. Minsan pa nga po, mas madami pa tayong natutunana matapos mag-aral base na rin sa mga experiences sa araw-araw nating pamumuhay..
ReplyDeleteI still read books and novels till now.. But I do wish I was able to bring all of my Nursing books with me when I came here.. Para naman mareview ko din habang wala pa akong trabaho ngayon.. Ang bibigat kase.. Hehehe.. I wanted to sell my textbooks, but I ended up giving them to my younger cousin since she also was taking up BSN at the time.. She's an RN now.. =)
I'm sorry but I don't have any pharmacy book but I do read leadership an business books.
ReplyDeleteI've always having second thoughts to take up Tourism this year because i also wanted to be a Pharmacist. Well, I just have to observe... Hehehe! :)
ReplyDeleteI know few Pharmacy graduates and some of them were my students in High School and I am just so proud at how they love the profession and still goes on to further their studies. Hats off to all of you! And yes, Education knows no end for as long as you are willing to learn, flip a page and there goes the learning along the way :)
