I used to volunteer in a school for people with disabilities. I am so blessed on how talented these individuals despite their
disabilities. They all excel in different subjects. Some of them can play
bowling better than any other normal person.
Some of them can swim better than me. Though their schools do not have
enough facilities to accommodate their activities, public amenities are
available for them to practice and compete.
For this reason, those public places are made safe for all
people especially for people with disabilities. Trained staffs are available
all the time to mind their guests. Aids are also accessible everywhere for
those with disabilities. These aids must comply with rules and standards set by
particular countries.
Just like in America, all public bodies of water must become
ADA compliant. All public pools in America must be equipped with ada pool lift and must comply by January 31, 2013. This is definitely one way to eliminate discrimination based on disability.
Hope all public pools in Philippines can have the same aid to give chance for disable people to enjoy under the sun.
This is very true, every pool that I went over here all have pool lift.
