Health Secretary Enrique T. Ona informed the public that prices of drugs and medicines will be continuously and closely monitored.
Doctors are also advised by Secretary Ona to prescribe generic drugs. The public are also advised to inform their local pharmacist that they prefer to buy generic drugs or the same drug with the lowest price.
