Six Korean Noodles were found to be contaminated with Benzopyrene by Korean FDA.
Benzopyrene is a chemical that has the potential of causing cancer. THE FDA and DOH are working hand in hand to protect the consumers on this issue.

The following are the names of the
Korean noodles to pull out from the market.
1. Nongshim Neoguri (Hot) - Expiry
Date: 12.10.11 & 12.11.11
2. Nongshim Neoguri (Hot) Multi -
Expiry Date 12.10.11 & 12.11.11
3. Nongshim Neoguri (Mild) -
Expiry Date 12.10.28 & 12.11.17
4. Nongshim Big Bowl Noodle Shrimp
- Expiry Date 12.11.4 , 12.11.29, 13.11.10 & 13.1.30 (mfd in Busan only)
5. Nongshim Saengsaeng Udon Bowl
Noodle - Expiry Date: 12.9.30 & 12.10.22
6. Nongshim Saengsaeng Udon -
Expiry Date: 12.8.28 & 12.10.8
Consumers are advised not to
purchase these noodles and toss them in the bin if you have them. If you found
some store or person selling the said products, please report to FDA though
their hotline 807-8275 and 807-0751.
